senior seminar project
My final project for my undergraduate degree in graphic design was one I curated on my own. As a soccer fan myself, I decided to create a fictional expansion team for the MLS (Major League Soccer). Since I was living in Worcester, MA at the time, I decided the team would be from there. I started by creating a brand by choosing colors, type, and even a sponsor. I then worked on creating a crest for the team that held 7 hearts that represented the 7 hills of Worcester and that Worcester was the heart of the Commonwealth. The team’s main colors would be green, red, white, and gold which are the city colors. The sponsor would be Polar Seltzer because that was a local selzter based out of Worcester so it would help tie the team to the community. There are 6 uniforms that I designed with the first 3 being the home, away, and third kits and the latter 3 being alternates as well. I wanted to use bright colors to help make the kits not only stand out but to push the limits of what was capable of soccer uniform.
